My mama she told me and her mama too Love don’t come easy it comes with the blues Not matter the warning it finds it’s way thru Heartbreak is for everyone, it don’t matter who It starts like a sunrise bright colors and such And you think your the one to get through untouched (But it) comes in full circle, not a thing you can do Heartbreak is for everyone, now I know it’s true It don’t cost a thing it’s free as a bird One day flying high and then down to earth The storm’ll come thru won’t be left in one piece Eyes will be opened, and all will believe The one consolation that comes with a price It’s the human condition, its just part of life I don’t know your story or what you’ve been told But heartbreaks for everyone, no ones alone There’s no exemption, it won’t pass you by It never runs out, it never runs dry It’s making it’s rounds, no it’s not a thief It’s leaves you a gift you don’t want to receive Not matter the warning it finds it’s way thru Heartbreak is for everyone, it don’t matter who

Satisfy 04:16
We’ve been at it again I’ve been making a scene Getting back in the ring Don’t know where it’ll lead Don’t know where it’ll lead Don’t know where it’ll lead Gonna put up my fists Maybe throw the first punch Well I’ll tell you this I think there’s gonna be blood I think there’s gonna be blood I think there’s gonna be blood I’ve been trying to escape you But I’m starting to think Maybe there is just no escaping {avoiding} Universal suffering I’ve been trying to find a way Trying to fill this dreams When the truth is you can never satisfy me You can’t satisfy me Are you gonna look up Make me weak in the knees Do I have to break down make you see what I need

Broken 04:33
BROKEN I’m stuck being broken, I’m frozen in time I’m stuck being broken, and nearly out of my mind Ever since that heart crush day The future slipped away Now I’m trapped inside this moment where sadness never leaves Like a shroud for someone dead Around the dreams that we once had With a memory of love that no longer has any breath I’m stuck being broken, and long for a sign I’m stuck being broken, and frozen in this time Hope is left behind to fade Promises turned into pain Love is lost and buried somewhere within that I can’t find As I fall in to my sleep The only place where I’m released From the prison I find myself in, every time I wake Is it only me, will it always be Like a stone in my hand, just a fool’s broken plan I’m stuck being broken, I’m frozen in time I’m stuck being broken, and nearly out of my mind

The birds and bees The yous and an me’s the way you smile the way you make me weak in the knees YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED So tell me whats on your mind The way you stare I'm well aware But would I dare to tell you whats on my mind you might be surprised Let's be honest Then you wouldn't have to guess On Sunday we’ll just have to confess (then I could get this off my and everything will be just fine If I could be honest (There’s) nothin I would rather do Then to tell you what I want from you I would tell you but I’m just a little scared but I’d open up my heart if I knew you really cared. You with me alone with you The way you talk What am I supposed to do? boy if you only knew A little shy But if you tried I can’t deny There’s somethings here I don’t want to hide You might be surprised Go back to CHORUS Do do do do lets be honest Then you wouldn't have to guess and I can get this off my chest and everything will be just fine If I could be honest (There’s) nothin I would rather do Then to tell you what I want from you and we might be surprised.

about

Rachel Taylor has honed her creative blend of alternative folk, 1950’s country and thoughtful unplugged pop, through Jazz performance and the study of songwriting at Berklee College of music. Mentored by critically acclaimed singer / songwriter / producer, Michael Been, Rachel has gone on to work with producer/songwriter and grammy winner Charlie Peacock. This musical journey led her to be a founding member of the Indie Roots Folk, girl trio, Maeve, whose music has been in regular rotation on college radio.

Through her love for the art of songwriting, she explores the intimate and challenging portions of her own journey, believing that transparency and revealing what she would rather hide, is the most universal. The result is a beautiful, vulnerable and poignant reflection of human connection. Rachel Taylor’s release “Heartbreak is for Everyone”, produced by Peter Hayes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, is what she believes to be her best work yet. Vocals reminiscent of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, are what sets this compilation of sultry, haunting and yet familiar songs apart. It’s soaring melodies, combined with profound lyrics and vocals are resonating with her rapidly growing audience.
